The Senior Music Department Retreat was this past Monday and Tuesday and it was a pretty interesting trip I'd have to say... Ok, that really didn't say anything at all, but I thought the retreat was pretty good, however, not nearly worth the $55 it costed. We spent most of the time talking about the new years schedule, which was what it was for, but the lodging and food were pretty bad. We didn't get much free time, but the free time we did have, was great. We played "wiffleball" (I do not know how to spell it) which is this type of baseball with a plastic bat and a plastic ball. (I have no clue if its a real game or what...) We also played German Crossing which was really fun in the dark with flashlights. We also played 2 games of CTF (capture the flag) but the 2nd game kinda sucked cuz it was cut short by the curfew. (and i was stuck in jail for most of that game... ;_;) Overall I thought it was a good retreat. There was a lot of scheduling discussed and things planned, such as the senior and freshmen party. Aside from that, tennis season has started and I'm hoping I can play my best. ;) Wish me all luck =P See you all later in the, NEW SCHOOL YEAR~~~

So... what's new... what's new... Ah, I just watched two relatively recent chinese movies: Lover Undercover and Running Out of Time 2. Love Undercover was cute, a little funny, and overall and ok movie. Running Out of Time 2 had a few cool parts, but it seemed a little farfetched at some points and just plain "what...?" Looking at the whole movie, it didnt' seem all that great though. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're a fan of the actors Ekin or ... forget the other guy's name... but he's pretty famous in HK. I'll probably be watching another movie tonite... Dry Wood Fierce Fire. There's a music department camp for seniors next week, and I think I'm going... I just need to turn in the form @_@ I hope to see all you other seniors there too ;) Well that's that, tty all later.

I have my license... finally... *sigh*... WOOHOO!!! Now if my parents would finally register me for insurance... but it was quite a hard day, but nevertheless I got my license, and I'm happy. That's the latest news, other than that, I'll just take a moment to make an advertisement for a new restaurant in chinatown called the "Purple Dot" It is what we call a Hong Kong Cafe style restaurant. But don't let the name discourage you if you seemingly don't like Hong Kong or whatever. They cook various dishes from around asia and even some western dishes (ie: sandwhiches, steaks, etc) also at fairly good prices. It would be better to eat in a group of people because then it will be the most worth the money. Dish sizes are not bad, not huge though. Tastes good, in my opinion so I suggest you all go try it out. Mmmmm... Anyway, I'll post my school schedule for all you people from my school to see... 1st - English - Giles (the devil english teacher...) 2nd - Intl Studies - Annest (he and giles are a pretty tuff combo) 3rd - Biomed - Welch (o yea... this'll be fun...) 4th - Calc AP - Schjelderup (if this isn't hell, i dont know what is) 5th - free!! 6th - free!! 7th - Orchestra - with you know who... 2nd semester I have PFR for 6th period I'll probably change my schedule, maybe add a class, maybe try to move things around...

Well, its been a while since I have written here... The past week hasn't been anything special. I got another prince thundercloud raquet for tennis. I was going to restring my old raquet when I found one on sale. It's a discontinued model and the buy wasn't bad considering I was going to restring anyway and I probably needed a new raquet. Aside from that, my tennis pupil got a new dog and has become a little too occupied with it to play tennis anymore... So that sucks for me. Got my sports packet in on the day it was due, but the office doesn't probably care if its overdue or not. I'm taking my drive test soon, so everyone wish me luck!! Darn parallel parking can be annoying. As well as backing around a corner. School is right around the corner... I hope it won't be too dreadful. Sometimes school can be the best thing that happens, and other times, it can be the worst. I think last year, for me, was pretty equal in good and bad. Bad in that I had to wake up every morning half asleep for the next 2 hours and barely stay up. Good, in that I got to go out a lot more and my friends and I did a lot of new things. I hope this coming year will be even better...

Hrmm... new things... I really need to get my sports physical for tennis season. Packets due soon. I also should start playing a little more tennis so I don't screw myself over on the ladder or in matches. Anyway, summer is passing a little faster lately. I'm not sure why, but I guess boredom also makes time fly because you occupy yourself with anything and sometimes it ends up being a long time. For example, you walk into some computer store planning on just browsing their games, but then you pass the PS2 demo television and there's this game that looks cool. You end up standing there for like 30 min just playing that game and the time has just gone by. I just recently heard the whole deal about the schedule next year and I kind of have mixed feelings about it. I like the idea of an early release every week, but they aren't that much earlier than normal. Just like the "half days" we had last year which were only an hour shorter... I like the later start time, but its a little too late. It cuts into afterschool time for sports or other events and gives less time then. I would've liked a 7:30 or maybe a 7:50 starting time. Another thing I don't like, is a shorter lunch period. I'm not completely sure of this, but that's what I've heard because of the shorter day. They took a chunk of our lunch time away which just plain sucks. Can't do anything about it now I suppose, just have to wait and see how it plays.

I've actually been busy lately with family things this past week. We recently got the new car, went to a friend's wedding, had parent's friends over for dinner, dad had one of his rare day off's and such and such. The wedding was fun, except there weren't any people my age so it went by pretty slow. The food, however was quite exceptional and delicious. Today, I had volunteering and the child I played with could not leave his bed nor sit up. This was a bit frustrating at first since a lot of boardgames were hard to play. I grabbed a few games that were tall or those who could easily been moved around to be seen by him. We played a few games and before I knew it, he was already tired and my job was done. I also learned how to make large amounts of bubble solution. You take a large amount of water and add in detergent, but you also had some corn syrup (it was some sort of syrup) into it so that the bubbles will be stronger. And then you just shake and Ta-Da! bubbles... Yes how informative... I also watched 2 chinese movies last night. One was a newly released one called "The Irresistable Piggies" with a lot of different HK stars. It was pretty good, but you'll have to ask me in person for a more detailed review. The other movie was an older movie with Andy Lau in it called the "Handsome Siblings". It was a combination of a old China/kung fu/comedy movie which didn't do any of those very well. Probably one I wouldn't recommend unless you're a real fan of Andy Lau's movies. (he has some pretty good ones but not a whole lot) Well, another week and a half until my driver's test... I should probably practice a litttle of parallel parking...

Yay, I'm 17!! What to do... Meh, whatever comes. However... one more year till clubs come around. ;) I finally took my written test, and scheduled the drive test... A blasted year after i took the frickin driver's ed course. u_u;; But i'm getting there. Some may have heard that my family is deciding to get a different family car since the lease on the jeep is up, and low and behold, out of all cars, my dad decided to get another jeep... Personally I don't like that car. Its cramp inside, small for my stature and it doesn't look very good. Although it has a decent engine and its "big" (in my dad's point of view) like every other SUV, it eats gas like there's no tommorrow. There's barely any passenger space and every turn I take, is a dangerous situation that may end up in a flipped car. I was trying to convince for a Subaru Outback, because I felt it was better in all areas where the jeep was lacking. It has a smaller engine by a fair shot, but that's ok. If I wanted to race, I'd take the beemer =P j/k, I'll never drive that. O, I also got WC3 from my 3 kind friends. They know who they are ;) Quite a good game so everyone should go buy it. With that written.... I think its time to go kill some undead. muahahaha....
