*sigh* break ended way to quickly... Why does time pass so fast when you're do nothing... lol. Well, not nothing, but when you're not stressed. It's weird, cuz when you're under stress and other pressure, time seems to sloth along and you watch just about every minute go by. Each test you sit through, all the labs you've done, the books you've read. But when you look back, it seemed to pass by smoothly. Hrmm... well this past week I spent doing plenty of resting and sleeping to rejuvinate myself. However, I fell a little ill later in the week, which is a little odd. Friday would have to be the highlight of my break though, which is the day I spent with two friends going to UW and downtown seattle. We attended an econ class just for kicks and walked around the campus. Afterwards we went to shop in downtown seattle and have lunch. Westlake mall has a lot more restaurants than I remember. Later that night I went to play basketball with friends but I became frustrated cuz I couldn't even keep since I was fighting a cold. I saw a few movies as well over the last weekend. My Big Fat Greek Wedding is a "romantic comedy" that shares a lot of Greek culture and deep family relationships. It has a few laughs for the light-hearted and is a feel good kind of movie. Not as good as My Sassy Girl =P but it was alrite overall. I would recommend it to most people. I also saw a chinese movie called God of Gamblers 2002. The newest edition to the GoG series with Stephen Fung as the God of Gamblers with special case Nick Cheung as a sidekick. The movie has some entertaining and funny parts as well as nice pieces of eye candy... Mango Wong *^^* (awww man she's fine... and cute =D ) and Monica Lo, who I don't really know at all but she's ok. There are some reminiscing parts which are cool, but hte overall plot pretty much sucks and it isn't a special movie. I would only recommend it to those who have seen previous GoG and are into Nick Cheung. Well I think that's a doosey of a blog already so I'll cut it here.
yahoo~~ mid-winter break... I hope to do some good ole relaxing and get some stuff I've never gotten to, done. I think I bombed most of the quizes/tests I took on the friday before break... but oh well. Thank the lord for postponing my math test... ^_^ This week I hope to do my math... (hahaha) and practice violin cuz I have a test when we get back... (HAHAHAHA) and then reformat my computer cuz i just recently got a cable modem to replace DSL. I figured that if I'm paying the same price, I should be getting the most for the money. However, this cable modem is being stupid and won't recognize with my computer. Can't go online yet, it's gimp... Today I had lunch at the Olive Garden, yummy unlimited salad and bread sticks!!! Yea, the pasta was good. Boba milk tea woulda been a good compliment with that meal =D Oh and on Saturday night, I had hot pot and that was yummy too. So much good food~!! Mmmmmm..... *drool*... yea, I was also watching the food network earlier, a show about culinary students. Most of em had goals of opening their own restaurants, but in hte end, only one actually did it... Most of hte rest had pretty good jobs however, and were doing well. I think becoming a cook would be really cool, but I'm not sure if I'm up to it. Requires a lot of creativity and organization. Neither of which are my fortes... Cooking is always gonna be a passion of mine...
Wo shi Chi Shun. Gno hai Sic Sun. =D
Short quick log cuz I'm bored like that. After histology, Biomed has become just another boring class that we take notes in... Can't even try to sleep when you're sitting right next to the teacher lecturing... Closed senior louge is distressing. Not driving is even more distressing. I need some good stuff, like bubble tea... or a mahjong marathon... or even another get together to play NBA 2k3 waaaaahhh~~ Just 2 more days... until mid-winter break. So close, yet so far. Math quiz Friday. History/English Test on Friday. Biomed Quiz on Friday. English Essay due on Friday. Someone just fly in on a helicopter or something and save me. Please.
Hrmm, DareDevil is coming out soon, and I have mixed feelings about it. From the trailer, it looks pretty entertaining and enjoyable. However, I'm hearing that girls think its cool too and maybe it's just me, but normally when girls like action flicks, the action flicks aren't that good in my opinion. I dunno, I wasn't a very big DD fan when I was a kid, but I don't remember him getting so many ladies. However, it's always a plus to have nice ladies in a movie =D So I guess I'll watch it to find out whether it's good or not and post my "review." I also want to see Shanghai Knights, which I've heard is quite good, even compared to the first one. That is one movie I'm kinda looking forward to. Anyway, that's enuf for now.
Damnit... ok this damn link came up when I was typing this up previously, and I had a pretty long blog written, until the stupid popup came up and I accidentally clicked it while switching windows, so now I lost my blog that I had nearly finished typing... grr... O well, I guess I'll just have to retype what I remember... u_U So this past weekend was All-Star weekend for all of you who are too inept to know. It was also teh last All-Star game that the last legend known as Michael Jordan competed in. He didn't do very good though... his performance was pretty disappointing. But what do you expect from him now, he's getting old... sad* What is even more disappointing, were the dunk, 3point, and "skills" contests. No Seattle players won any contests!!! That's just wrong. Gary Payton should've owned Jason Kidd in the skills contests by far. Desmond Mason had way better looking dunks than Jason Richardson, even though I will admit that Richardson's last dunk was pretty damn wicked. No one cares about the other 2 contestants cuz their dunks just plain sucked. Yes. In the 3 point contests, who would've known that it would've been the same person as last year to win again... *sigh* Peja Stojakovich is a crazy monster at 3 pointers... he doesn't even look at the hoop when the ball goes in and swoosh after swoosh... Brent Barry was doing hella good in the first round, but then crapped over cuz he lost his rhythm in the 2nd round and lost it horribally. The All-star game wasn't very good. Yao Ming was only in for like a total of 5.5 minutes, then Shaq took over... whatever u_u;; Dunks occured too often, so it got boring fast. Yes, aside from that NBA 2K3 RULES~~~ best bball game out there~! nba live got NOTHING. that's right. Anyway that's enuf basketball...
I saw another chinese movie called Lavender b/c a diff movie I was trying to watch called Bakery Amour was a bad copy, so I couldn't watch it. Lavender was a pretty good movie with the elegant and beautiful KELLY CHEN!!! Yes... and there's also this japanese guy in there that's got nice hair. But Kelly Chen was great throughout the whole movie ;D I recommend this movie. Go watch. Has a good ending and plot is interesting. Stretches a little, but it's a stretch that you'll just have to bare with. No, the character is not psychotic nor is does she have mental problems.
This weekend was fun, a good break, but I can't wait till Mid-Winter next week!!! Just one more week................. But I have an essay and a few quizes and tests... u_u;; not cool teachers... not cool! Now to get to sleep early so I dun look like a corpse in the morning... =P
HW blows... more than I should legally have... SAVE ME~~ 'nuff said. So I was thinking, what's one of the best movies out there?? Obviously "My Sassy Girl" always comes to mind when thinking of QUALITY movies. Now, I've known many people who have watched and they don't have bad things to say about it. Those who say it's "OK" must have been drugged when watching it, b/c 999999999 out of 10000000000 movie watchers agree, that this is a solid movie. The category of Romantic Comedy is the most simple description possible for this movie. It is suspensful, intimate, action-packed, realistic, whatever you want to imagine. I think I'll stop before I ruin movie. Actually, I think that movies are best seen if you have none or hardly any knowledge/opinions/expectations. Those all ruin the movie before it is even watched. I watched actually right before bed tired and zoned out of everything. Anyway... coming up is the NBA East vs. West game and all those competitions. Every year I frickin miss like every event except for one, and that makes me mad. I think this year I will hold a party or something, invite people over, to watch one day of the events. It will be for sure a good time and a nice chance to PARTY~~!! which is what we seniors are all about!! yea yea... I hope the dunk contest isn't as gimp as I heard it was last year. I'm also hoping that new revolutionary/stylish/HOLY SH*T THAT WAS A SWEET DUNK (ie: vince carter) type dunkers will be in this years contest. I'm not very up to date on the rookies, so I dunno what to expect. I just wish for the best. I also like random nice moves in the middle of the all-star game. T-Mac's off the glass dunk was quite nice to see. and if you're not a bball fan, go watch the games and contests so you will be mesmerized by the beauty of the game. It's also a great time to get to know the best in the league.(if you still think jordan is the best in the world now, you'll be hella surprised) After watching, you'll love bball and want to go out and play immediately. Like they all say... "you gotta love this game" ***NBA*** yea ok.
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEARS!!!! yea yea, ~Chinese Pride~ Woooooo... Went up to Vancouver for a weekend. It was an alrite short trip. Ate good food. Discovered a new arcade that's pretty nice. Bought a pair of jeans... and actually did not get many movies this time. I only got "the Duel" which I heard was an iffy movie, but whatever, it's got Andy, Ekin, and Nick (cheung mind you) and that cute girl that I don't know who she is but she's cute, so I'm hoping it's not too bad. I went to the Chinese New Years night street fair. This fair actually had an admission fee of $2 canadian, but it wasn't too bad. It was hella frickin crowded, but with all the nice asians, i'm fine with that =D. However, the old asian bitching people (excuse me) were not exactly the nicest people to be crowded around with. I felt so tall among so many shorter asians... =D wahaha.... The fair wasn't as good, in that there wasn't a lot of stuff that interested me. No blackmarket illegal VCD's/CD's... Food selection was limited, and had hella long lines. About a fourth of the entire area was packed with Benz's which I think was a bit of a waste of space. One or two nice looking ones, I'm down with that. But it's a night fair... not a car show... there were like 10 cars total. Not a whole lot of new chinese movies out yet. Most that were talked about were just released in HK after teh new year, so it'll probably be a few weeks before it gets here. I think that's enough for now, I must be off...
