Yay~! Today was interesting, full of ups and downs, but overall it went very well. It started off a little weird cuz I was hoping to sleep in and then wake up to clean house and then jet out to hang with friends, but I kept waking up and I couldn't stay asleep, which ticked me off. I finally woke up around 10:30ish after tossing around. So I began my tidy up process and getting things in order when I found out that I should have planned to go get my Food Handler's Card today b/c their sessions are only on monday. So my mom made me go get it even though I wanted to postpone it to a later date, and we were off around 11:25 for the 12 session. The webpage said to be 20 min early and our timing seemed good, but to my dismay, when I got there at about 11:45, they were full already >_< Just my luck... and my mom had already driven off. (To get the card you need to sit through a class and take a test, about 90 min total) So, there I am stuck in downtown Seattle at lunch time waiting for the next session at 2:30pm... Isn't this great... I decided to bite the bullet and just walk to chinatown since I had the time and there wasn't going to be any other decent food for a cheap price around me. I walked a couple blocks (actually only took about 15-20min) and eventually settled at Uwajimaya. (Luckily none of the multiple hobo's or bar bums I passed, gave me any trouble since it was probably too early to cause trouble... thank god) There I perused the bookstore for about an hour before finally deciding that I was hungry enough to order something at Green Village. After eating, about 1:30 now, I walked back b/c I knew I had to get there early as hell this time to ensure a spot. When I got there, there was already a line of about 20 people in front of me... and this was about 1:45 for the 2:30 class... 60 people per class so I was good. The class was boring as hell, passed the test and I was on my way. I also discovered that pay phones are there for you to feed your change to... I call people and I don't even talk, and the stupid phone takes my change!!! When the hell are phones supposed to do that?? Gosh, I lost a whole $1.50 trying to call people...
So now all of you reading must think this day sucked ass from then on... However, it was quite the opposite. Even though as I got home, paranoid, stressed, and worried to death that later that night I wouldnt' be able to pull off a decent get together for my friends, somehow, someway, it worked out... That's what makes life so great. When you're feeling the odds are against you, somehow you manage to get through. (With a little help from your friends ;D) For guys night out, we went to Applebees since the Keg was too overpriced for whatever they serve... And I liked it, although I wish I could chew my food better next time u_u;; (oh yes, random update on my wisdom teeth progress... Yea the pain is still here, but at least I can chew food I normally like to eat; jaw still hurts a little; swollen-ness has gone down quite a bit actually; hope to be back to normal in a week or so) Afterwards we headed back to my house for cake and just hanging out. We played a game of Risk and believe it or not, I didn't get wiped out this time by eveyrone else!!! (if you know what i'm talking about fine, if you don't that's ok, it's a type of inside joke) Then played some Capcom VS SNK 2, haven't played that for a while, ever since school, lol. Then had cake and played some baseball on Xbox. Good quality time with better friends for the best occasion =D

it's times like these you learn to love again

**Here's to good times with friends... 7/28/03**
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN~!!!
So It's about 4 hours after my surgery and my jaw is hurting like a @#$@# b*tch... I just got my wisdom teeth out today and it went pretty smoothly. The pain has just started to kick in but I guess it isn't that bad ... I'm also starting to get the feeling back in my lips and such b/c the numbing stuff is starting to wear off. I'm just not feeling very pleasant right now.... God this sux, can't even go out. I haven't even eaten since last night, but that isn't as bad as the pain. Well I guess I'll see how I feel in a few more hours...

Damn straight...
Busy busy weekend... where to start... Saturday I went out on my friend's father's boat and went around Lake Washington and Lake Union. He's got a pretty damn big boat @_@ 2 bedroom type rooms, 2 bathroom/shower (that's a lot for a boat), 3 decks, I guess you could say, and a kitchen too... Quite nice, got to see lots of girls in bikini's out on such a nice day as Saturday was... =D Afterwards went to this nice Japanese restaurant in Redmond called, Kikiyo or something along those lines... I forget for now, but if you're looking for a really good Japanese restaurant in Redmond, that isn't the mediocre stuff at Todai... (I've learned what better Japanese food is like... mmm...) just ask me about it, cuz I think my mom took a business card. Then on Sunday, after church and a nice lunch at Mac's Noodle House, went to see Bad Boys 2. Pretty damn good action movie >D But yet again... the plot was sub par... Nevertheless, go see this movie, cuz it's hella good action. First racing scene with the FERRARI is TIGHT AS HELL~!!! This movie is also hella funny. I don't think I've laughed as much in this movie as any other. (Then again I missed a lot of movies over the summer...) Like the first one, it's about drugs being smuggled into Miami and then sent to Cuba, and you've got your typical Cuban rich mofo who's out to send money to his cuban mofo cousins in Cuba. Overall I recommend this movie in the theatre. It's worth the matinee and if you haven't done anything fun this summer, I recommend it even at the night rate b/c it is damn good. My rating is probably a 8 / 10, which is fairly high by my standards I think. However, I would warn people that it does have some "messy scenes" as in corpses all over the streets... and slow-mo headshots. I think I've said too much already, see it =D
This weekend was pretty fun, got to get out a lot more so I wasn't stuck at home again. The MI fair was in town... and boy does it suck like it does every year... Even the food that comes sucks... I mean restaurants from around Puget Sound used to be here, now its just the damn thai place around the corner at the fair... @_@ So moving on to more relevant things... On Saturday, went to Kev's house for his early b-day party w/ his family and such. He's got so many cute small cousins... I'm glad I don't have to see them as often as he does =D j/k j/k I like kids, or else why would I have volunteered at Children's =) We walked to the fair like twice and another 2 times to swing on the swings... Over the course of the night, I learned a lot of interesting bits of news and such that I wouldn't normally learn even with my own family. Like the big talk about the double decker bus crisis in HK. We had a yummy dinner and then the infamous cake came... I had heard about these "cake fights" and saw pictures of the aftermath of such occasions... but never before did I expect what was to come... 3 little kids running at me covered in cake >_< and then Kevin smothering me.... U_U;; So maybe I didn't look as bad... but I got the bulk of the colored cake creme on my clothes @_@; After cleanup... we watched "Love for all Seasons" with Louis Kou and Sammi Cheng. It was an alrite movie that had some funny parts and an interesting plot line.... yes... It was another one of those romantic comedy, rolled hot off the "romantic comedy" press for this Chinese New Years. I would only recommend it for fans of Louis or Sammi... or if you're just bored. These actors have much other pieces of work better than this... SUNDAY... saw Charlies Angels 2... what happened here??? @_@ Some intense action scenes, I guess. Plot... what plot? Funny at times, but nothing that had me gasping for air. My opinion? Wait for the tape, or dvd if you're fancy like that. See T3, probably better for theatre. I need to see Finding Nemo, Pirates of the Carribean, and Bad Boys 2 when it comes out >_< Good stuff.
During the past two days, I've been at UW figuring out registration and learning about the classes offered there. I met some people, but it felt a little awkward being around so many people you don't know. I guess I'll have to keep trying to talk to more people. Duuuude, there were a lot more asian girls there than I previously thought... Anyway, the second day where we actually did registration was hella complicated and stressful for me. So, my parents want me to take math 124 just cuz they think I should take the entire calculus series from the UW so I get a good grasp on it... =/ Don't even get me started on this topic... I've been debating this with them for the longest time... Back to registration, I wanted to register, but my AP scores were not in yet and my parents and I were getting worried the classes we wanted would fill up. So my parents end up arguing and pushing and fighting their way to get the classes... but it did nothing u_u;;; Those college advisor people are tuff cookies. Right now, I'm not even signed up for any classes that I hope to take, either becuase they are the wrong class or they are at the wrong times. Currently, I'm enrolled in Chem 142 and Econ 200. My schedule is hella weird. Some of the calcs are really weird cuz different days start at different times. I stayed at registration for like 4 hours because my parents weren't satisfied... There was one high point I guess, which is when I called in for my AP score cuz my dad wanted to find that out to possibally make them let me register today. Got a 5 on the AB, that just may convince my dad to let me skip a class... Now I'm just hella tired b/c I've listened to so much lecturing of the same thing over and over. The advisors had to repeat everything for my mom and then my dad, after they talked to me... then another advisors just kept saying the same thing... o well, I just hope I get my classes... Back later after I rest and eat...
Yeup... so my July 4th was pretty nice, I hope everyone elses was great too! =D. Started off going to fishing on my dad's friend's boat. We went out at the Edmonds port so about 30-40 min drive away. Caught about 15 flounders that were kinda small, couple decent sized ones, and 4 crabs. I caught 3 of the flounders =) I woulda had another but it wiggled off the hook as I lifted it out of the water =( We also would've had another crab which was a dungeoness but it fell out the cage when we lifted that up >_< (the 4 crabs we caught were rock crab) After that I went to Levine's barbeque party and saw a bunch of people from my late high school career. Played a little baseball and that was fun. Then we went to Robert's house to watch and do a couple fireworks. His house has a pretty damn good view... We also shot beebee's at cans for a while. Shin dominated at ping pong =P Undefeated for what, 60 some freaking rounds @_@ Yea whatever... =P After that we met up with Siek and his gf to lite up some fireworks... fun fun fun~~! Except for people randomly lighting firecrackers that blew up people's ear drums right next to them... @_@ that was not cool... I got a whole pack of these bottle rockets from my cousin last year and I'm glad I was able to put so many to use this year. We loaded up like 10 into a used big firework and lit them all up together and watching them all shoot up was pretty cool. That's my fourth =) It was my first year I spent w/o doing fireworks with my family and that was a cool experience. Was certainly fun with friends, but some people did some whacked stuff @_@ Jumping over a firework in progress... u_u;; Today, I saw T3 and don't have too much to say. Action and visuals were pretty cool and intense. Plot was pretty much... not there =/ They started off where they left off in T2 so the characters and any development for story was left out basically. Stuck in random things to tell you why this was happening in between action scenes. Not a bad movie I suppose. I would probably say see it matinee cuz it's certainly not worth anything more ($$ wise) The only reason I say see it in theatres, is because the visuals are pretty cool. If you're low on dough and can only see a few movies this summer, I'd wait for it to rent. I give this about a 6.5 / 10. Well enuf for now, time to watch a different chinese movie since that's what I can do these long summer nights...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY T-WONG~!
Aaahhhh... Just came back from Vancouver/Richmond a day ago and it's nice to take a trip after boring days at home... Started on Saturday, nothing much happened since my parents just decided that morning to go @_@ so we didn't leave until 11. Did some shopping at random places, nothing special. Second day was much better. We started off by going to Stanley Park, then we went to Oakridge mall where, to my dismay, I found that the clothing store that I buy more than 50% of my clothes closed down u_u;; and was replaced by some half ass crazy expensive store, not even really my taste. (Lots of sales now so go up and hurry if you haven't gone up~!) Then we hurried afterwards to Richmond Centre cuz that's the other places where I knew that there was another Lattitude store. Got there in time before the mall closed and managed to get 2 articles of clothing. I'm satisfied. I think we bought a couple of chinese movies... but right now I've only found one on my tv @_@. So yea, I'll probably be watching one soon so stay in touch for the review ;D Throughout my trip I had my camera ready to take pictures of nice suped up cars... how unfortunate I hardly found any... Usually they are everywhere, but I didn't see any decent ones. I did however, see a Lamborghini Diablo, which I guess is alrite. If I ever get un-lazy, I'll post pictures I've taken on my camera for all of you to look through. So now I'm back here in my lazy state at home w/o anything to do. Erp, I really hope Sbux hires me >_< Everyone keep praying...
So Fourth of July is coming up... I hope everyone's got good plans and everything.
Fireworks.
hehehe >D
