Back here; a little has happened. All my relatives have left... =* Feels so lonely now... I dunno, I like it when there are lots of people around me. It makes me feel like there's stuff to be done and time just passes faster and in a more enjoyable way with more people. First it was the Oregonian relatives, then the Houstonian (erp I guess texan) relatives, and then my grandma and my aunt went back to NY... It's very saddening to see them go, esp my grandma. Each year she comes to visit us and is very happy to see us all, and then when she leaves, it's the most tearful sight b/c i know that she feels like each time may be the last time she sees us. I try to keep an optimstic mind, and telling myself that she will be back next year. But I'm starting to feel like time is on fast forward now or something... This goes along with what I wrote last time, and I'm not sure I'm quite ready for life to rush at me so quickly... I've already lost a grandfather, who I'm sorry to say I did'nt know very well (he's also the husband of the grandmother i'm talking about) b/c I was too young and impatient to spend time with my elders... I only remember him as being a very tough and stern man. Ok i need to move onto a diff topic...
I saw SWAT this past weekend. I was dissappointed... Very little highs in this movie for me. I didn't feel excited or thrilled at all. This was somewhat lame action movie if you ask me. The plotline was somewhat weak. I guess the director just didn't do as good a job, IMO. Action was ok, could have been better. Not even a very funny movie. Samuel Jackson did a good job, as he usually does. As the badass old school SWAT, he's still got it. Collin Ferrel was pretty cool, but even he and samuel jackson couldn't really save this movie. I wouldn't really recommend this movie unless you're some hardcore SWAT fan, or looking for a taste into some lighter, less cgi filled action. See, the movie was pretty much split into two parts, and that didn't work for me. The second part was a very long action scene, and was overdone. The supposedly intense scenes, didn't even have much blood (sorry but what's an action movie w/o some blood). Things that usually make you cringe and go "wow, now that was intense" were definately lacking in this movie. I would have to rate this movie a 6 / 10. That 6 is just for Samuel Jackson, and the Colt .45's that they used in the movie. Well that's long enuf, I'll make another update when something relevant happens...
