I JUST BUILT MY NEW COMPUTER XD!!!!!!! Here are the specs for all of you nerds. AMD Athlon XP 2800+ barton, Corsair XMS PC2700 DDR 512mb ram, ASUS A7N8X-X mobo (onboard sound & lan), ATI Radeon 9800pro 128mb, Liteon DVD/CD-RW combo drive, Thermaltake Volcano 11+ Xaser Edition heatsink, Logitech Z640 5.1 Speakers, Msft Keyboard & mouse, Kingwin Black Case with side window, and two pimpin orange LED fans...! Initially I was baffled at all the wires and it was taking me quite a while just to install the fans. But as I went got the main parts in and went to go pick up some crucial parts... u_u (i forgot some stuff) and my neighbor came over to give me a hand, everything went super fast and now WinXP is already installed. (IT INSTALLED IN LIKE 20min TOTAL XD hella fast cpu). So now that's left is installing programs and drivers which are so boring to do, but after that, it's high flying from there. Well that's about all for now. If anyone out there is looking for a new computer or new parts, I'm somewhat up to date so feel free to ask me for advice. =)

Season Greetings... I love the winter season... no allergy worries... people full of the holiday spirit everywhere... shopping/gift giving/recieving... mmm just might be my favorite season... (FOR just a movie review, jump down to the third paragraph) Anyway, SCHOOL'S OUT!!! WOoooo last day of school was today, err yesterday, and just the thought of a nice long winter break brings a smile to my face. This quarter kinda went a little fast for me. I think it's cuz I haven't been doing much and just sitting around as the days go by =/ Well, I hope to pack this season with lots of fun. I may be going on a trip but I dunno the details. I'm looking forward to hanging out with lotsa peeps as that has been very minimal for me lately. Man, I'm kinda not looking forward to next quarter b/c I'll have to get used to a completely new schedule, have more work to do, and get used to new professors. I was just getting used to my Chem prof's voice, he's got a thick czech accent and the other guy's got a heavy african accent, and I liked them both very much. I couldn't really stand my math prof's talking, but I think I'm going to miss how "elementary in his teaching ways" were... =X I also began to get used to my phil prof too. Most of the times she lectures somewhat boringly b/c the topics are boring, but occasionally she'll have good lectures and she's actually fun to listen to. Ask me about the specific profs later if you're wondering who they actually are. I am looking forward to meeting more people however. A whole new quarter is likely to be a whole new group of faces, for the most part at least. I will probably see some familiar people in chem... albeit there are probably like 1500+ students taking it.

Ugh, not looking forward to finals at all. At least they're all on diff days. Phil on friday, Math on saturday (this is whacked, who does math on saturday??), and finally Chem on monday. I've gotten into a very very lazy state as of late and that's not good at all for studying. I find myself slipping into games of Gunbound and randomly entranced in music while sitting around. I need to crack the books tomorrow....

I have one movie review... Good times, Bed Times; a HK flick, yet again another romantic comedy except this time there's an interesting add-on. These people actually wanna have SEX! I'm sure all of you have heard of those movies out there where the couples are all giddy and happy, I like those movies a lot, but after you've seen 5 of em, they kinda start to turn hackneyed and as if they were being mass produced. Although this movie may seem at first very similar to every other romantic comedy, I assure you that there is quite a bit of interesting stuff that you havent' seen in regular HK cinema. As a frequent viewer, it's safe to say that most of HK cinema is fairly clean and strays far away from anything to promiscuise/raunchy. In this film, it kinda breaks that border, by simply showing that the people actually desire sex and throwing around a couple sex jokes. No tripleX material here boys... The beginning is somewhat interesting, but the middle is where the movie really takes off. You know the characters already so as the story plays out it starts to get more lay back and entertaining. But at the end, it's really weird... Well first of all, there seem to be like 2 plot lines that twist maybe once or twice and then end up at the same place. Neither of them are that great at the end... But that's ok, b/c it's only like 10 min of the whole movie. I would recommend this movie to people who are looking for a different kind of romantic comedy, and like me, have gotten tired of the cookie-cutter types. No, this is not a revolutionary movie that will make you giddy after watching it, but it will entertain you a fair amount. And esp when you can buy the dvd for only $11 canadian, it's a def good deal =) Oh, errmm, one thing I forgot to mention... The DVD I got had really messed up sound that stayed really quiet throughout the movie... so maybe I missed some stuff in the movie... =/ But I don't think it would've changed my view on it too drastically. So until I get a better version I shall rate this movie a 6 / 10 for being a nice change of pace in HK cinema. Louis Kou, Sammi Cheng, and ESP. Charline Choi fans will not be disappointed at all.

'Nuf said, g'nite.

I feel like I really needed to rerate the 2nd Matrix movie... since I was so generous with the third, I think the 2nd one should be more like a 5 / 10. I feel much better now.

::UPDATE TIME:: Thanksgiving break was quite exceptional, compared to other weekends. Ate so much I gained like 8 pounds already XD That's alrite b/c I'm trying to put a little more weight on. Started off I guess on wed afternoon at work, I didn't get to go to one of the thanksgiving meals at my cousin's apartment tonite >_< Oh, I just remembered my mom cooked an early thanksgiving meal on Sunday for my uncle's family that just moved here from HK ... then worked again thanksgiving morning. It's cool b/c I get 2.5x pay!!! (or so i'm told) XD Good deal. Then I went to play a little football with my island homies but that was shortlived b/c hardly anyone showed up. Then went back home and played some video games b/c it was break and I'm lazy like that over break XD Later we had dinner at one of my dad's friend's house over in Shoreline, quite a drive. Great food, I'm still drooling over it.

Next, on friday, my aunt from NY flew in kinda randomly, (well not randomly, but my I knew almost nothing of it so it was random for me) and we drove up to Canada for some good old Canuck stuff. Ate even more good food, shopped a little, and even visited a lan shop up there to school the Canuck kiddies at CS. The people running the place didn't know much about computers, and my friend's and I kinda got shafted into using the worse computers since all the good ones were filled by who I like to call "the regulars" or "the-asian-kids-who-live-on-instant-noodles-and-computergames". Bleh whatev, I'm used to a slow computer like mine =X I got the Wonder Woman CD by Sammi Cheng which is pretty good. I can see why it stayed ranked so high on YesAsia. Got a new movie and exchanged the non-working PTU for a new copy. I was quite dissappointed to learn that Boxing Day in Canada is actually the day after Christmas and that's when all the sales are... u_u;;; I had thought that Boxing Day was like the Canuck Christmas or something... That's OK tho, cuz I managed to find some stuff that was a good deal. We came back saturday night and finally slept a really good night's sleep. On sunday I went to church and then went to play basketball since we weren't here on friday night. Got some good exercise to work off some of the weight I gained. Although when I weighed myself later that night, that's when I had found I had gained about 8 pounds since the summer. And that pretty much sums up my thanksgiving weekend.

I keep thinking I have a movie to review, but I dont' remember any movies... OH ok, I saw Matrix Revolutions on IMAX the weekend before. I guess it was OK... The special effects were much better than the Reloaded in my opinion. I personally liked the Dock scene. The ending fight scene can kiss my ass after I sh*t. It reminds me of a horrible HK movie that I got a while back. I never would have thought that the Matrix series could end with such crap. The movie on a whole was in between the 2nd and the first. No where remotely near the latter unfortunately. I guess the series kinda took a super turn and went completely sci-fi/fantasy like. There was much more appeal in the first one, IMO, b/c it did not have nearly as much fantasy type stuff. Neo's change into superman was whacked. The random orgy in the 2nd one was out of nowhere. Suddenly new characters pop up from nowhere and expect to be the main attraction. The fact that it seemed like the Bible was completely rewritten into the storyline at the end... @_@ Ok, so it made for an intersting turn of events, but still, that's pretty lame. I'm not dissing on the Bible, b/c I happen to be Christian, but it should not be in a Hollywood blockbuster. Trying to coin the term "the one" was already done by whoever dared to make the Jet Li movie "The One" and apparently they crashed and burned and rolled over a cliff. The Wachowski brothers must have decided to take a vacation mid way filming this movie. So enough flaming of this movie; I need to sleep and finish my prelab. I rate this a 6.5 / 10 for decent special effects and an OK ending that wrapped it together albeit as bad as it is. I recommend people to rent it for DVD when it hits the $.99 rack. Well, enuf of that, g'nite...
