Spring Break concluded...

So my Spring Break wasn't full of girls in bikini's, partying, drinking, and being on MTV; but it was still great fun XD. I got to hang out lots with my friends and living like a lazy man. We'll start off in the beginning last friday. Basketball was great fun with Taisuke, David, and John until the end when one of the doors that wasn't supposed to be unlocked, was locked in the unlocked position... (yes think for a moment) My key that opens one of the doors didn't work for the other side, which was kept unlocked by using a special key. So I couldnt' just leave the door open all night long, being that it is downtown Seattle, so I waited, made everyone else wait too (sorry guys), to see if the security guard would come by to lock the door. After about half an hour with no security in sight, I took it in my hands and decided to try disturbing the occupants of the building to see if they could help. (it was about 1030pm so I was nervous about bothering people somewhat late) Luckily I found an awake occupant and asked them if they could do anything about the door. They told me they would call for the security guard and that I could leave. Problem solved, or so I thought... A few days later, I got a call from the church saying that the door was left unlocked till the next morning. (Me thinking aw crap, just my terrible luck) So I gave em a call and explained how I had waited for a long ass time and talked to an occupant and that let me off the hook. The church said they would send a security guard to check the next friday to make sure, and I thanked them for informing me. Fast forward to friday >> no security guard showed up when we left =/ but at least all the doors were locked.

Now Rewind back to the Saturday after the first friday... Eehhhh... I kinda forget what happened, but I'm guessing nothing since there were a few days that I just chilled at home... O, I did watch a lot of Naruto this past week and I finally got up to date with the show at episode 75 T_T; I'm so sad because new episodes come out only once a week and now I don't have a massive amount of episodes to watch. I'll just have to not watch it and let the episodes accumalate... Sunday; Jackie P is leaving soon for boot camp out somewhere in the midwest (i think) so a bunch of friends went to go see Starsky and Hutch. I'll give a quickie review now... I had somewhat high expectations so I didn't think it was that great. Stiller and Wilson are great actors and do a pretty good job in this movie, but I guess combining the facts that I didn't know anything about the original show, and had high expectations, I was not satisfied with the movie. It had some funny random stuff thrown in here and there. Snoop Dogg was a surprisingly interesting character as weird as that sounds. Carmen Electra is always a plus in movies, even though most of the movies are crap. Frankly, I don't think this movie was worth the 8.50 I paid to see it at the time I did. Maybe, maybe, matinee price, but I would really rather wait for it on video. If you're a Starsky and Hutch fan, more pleasure to you. If not, I'd wait on this one for dvd/video. I give it a 5 / 10.

Monday; Jackie's going away party started off with dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. (Always a great place to eat) Then we headed over to Sunvilla planning to play a few games of bowling, but they hiked up their prices per game so that was a lost cause. We instead, played a few games of pool, good cheap fun. Next we headed over to Dairy Queen for some yummy desserts. Then we headed over to David's house and played some video games like the nerds we are. I finally got everyone to play Pacman Fever!! See it is an alrite party game, we just played normal mode so they repeated a lot of the mini-games. Good times... Tuesday; I sat around until David was ready to go to the IMA in the afternoon to work out. The IMA is a very nice facility and everyone should go check it out even if they aren't a student. Doug and Chris also went with us to the IMA so that was nice. Basketball was and is always great fun. (blocking someone 3 times in a row is just crazy funny XD) Afterwards, we headed off to chinatown, specifically Green Village, for dinner. Man, I haven't eaten there in such a long time, but they have great food for cheap prices... It may be very greasy but once in a while it's alrite to give in =D

Wednesday; I don't even remember. Thursday; It's all a blur. Friday; the fun begins again. Basketball was great. Followed by karaoke at a place that John Yoo works at in Aurora. Sang from like 10:30 til 1am or something. Great fun and we were graced with the presence of Karen!! who also helped with her great singing talent to reach those notes that all the guys could not... Then we grabbed some grub at Wendy's and everyone headed to my house for more video games. Stayed up til 330am, fun stuff. Waking up the next morning at 750am for work, terrible stuff. Even with only 5 hours of sleep from the night before, I endured through it and actually went to the IMA again with my cousin Fred and eventually met up with Andy C. I also bought my Bio book. (another friggin $90 into the school's pocket... i'm getting so poor >_<) I played some bball again at hte IMA with some random peeps and it was good fun. The first game was great b/c the people actually knew how to play the game well... (knew how to pass and move around) The second game however was pretty much a failure b/c 3 out of 5 of our guys were pretty much inert to team-play. Not to mention the other team had 3 big white guys and our tallest person was a skinny asian kid. But nevertheless, you learn from your losses and become stronger for the next battle. Headed over with Fred to Oasis for some bubble tea. Then later met up with Kevin and David and went to Sushiland down in Queen Anne for dinner so we could visit Taisuke at his work. He hooked us up with a few free plates of sushi and miso soup. heheheh good stuff. We drove around Seattle at around 930pm looking for something to do, but there wasn't so we just went to Kevin's house to play some more Mario party after Taisuke got off work. I'm starting to get better at that game! XD I owned twice in the 7 game challenge. Booya! who's the Champ now... wahaha... Anyway, I saw the better & latter half of Cabin Fever, since Kevin had his movie channels from Canadian Satellite TV as well as some movie called "Cat People" (?) and "House of the Dead". Cabin Fever was somewhat intense although pretty gruelsome... the kids are pretty dumb like in most horror flicks. Here's my exerpt.

Main Guy: (the following is a description of his acts, he was alone when this happened) Hey it's a dead body in a lake near the pier! I'm going to poke at it with this giant stick! Aww the giant stick isn't long enough, but low and behold, there's an old emanciated-about-to-break wooden ladder that leads down to the water here! Damn, I fell into the nasty water on top of the dead corpse after the ladder broke, twice.

Yea, I wasn't a fan of this movie. "Cat People"? It was made in the 80's or something and it's about a chick who turns into a violent feline when she gets sexually aroused. You think by this description it should be something interesting, but it suffers just the same as every other terrible 80's movie. It just sucked. Watching bad reruns of SNL was even more entertaining. "House of the Dead" Video game movie = worse than crappy 80's flick. The combined horrible matrix-like camera angles and random interjections of video game footage were only the start of the horrible things list that this movie sucked on. I don't even want to go on reviewing the movie. Let's just say that of the 3 movies listed, I would give Cabin Fever a 4 / 10 (for it's intensity and the hot girl) and the other two are way below that mark...

As for now, I guess that pretty much wraps up most of my Spring Break. I hope everyone else's was just as intriguing and fun-filled. Time to jet.
