Summer... Free at last...
I finished my last final on Wed... I'm really glad this quarter is over, but I'm feeling bad about it, because it was a pretty tough quarter... A math and two sciences was tough and I've got to step up my game even more if I even want to do well in those classes... I say that b/c I'll probably have a similar schedule some time in the future. Oh well, SUMMER IS HERE AT LAST!!!
So how did I spend my first day of break? (Thurs) I slept in "hella" for the first time in a looonnngggg time. This is because I stayed up the night before hanging out with friends. Spent some quality time, playing video games and Risk. The next day I was just an absolute bum and sat around, ate, watched tv, sat online... the typical teenage bum thing to do. Then I had to go to work =/ O well, I gotta make some money. Next day, (friday) I went to finally see SHREK 2!!! with karen. Ahh, I loved that movie. I'll give my review now. IT'S FREAKIN AWESOME. Yeah, everyone's probably heard it more times than they wanted to, but you won't do it justice unless you've seen it. Now I don't want to over-hype this flick, but it really was great stuff. All the characters you've learned to love in the first one, and even more. (aahhh, Puss'n Boots is soo cute) There is an actual story to this one, so don't worry about some makeshift sequel that has no substance. There are a lot of jokes and innuendos that are actually meant for a slightly older crowd. If you're anywhere my age (18) you'll definately catch some jokes thrown in there that were not meant for the kiddies. Well, by not meant for them, I mean that they won't get it. One example is a "reference" to the old movie Flashdance. Rolling for only a mere 1hr 45min felt a tad short, but it was non-stop fun. I wished it would've last longer, but you can't have everything. I'm gonna have to definately rate this one a 10/10. Sure I'm a sucker for a good animated film, but lately all of the animated films have been exceptional. (I still haven't seen Finding Nemo, don't hate me for it =X) I highly recommend this to anyone, even the most stoic Ero-sennins out there.
Now I just need to see the rest of the movies... I think this calls for a list =D
Spiderman 2:: AAhhhh just seeing the trailer makes my spider senses tingle...
Harry Potter 3:: Ok, well I've seen the other two so I gotta see this one. Quiditch anyone?
I, Robot:: Eh, I like Will Smith and even though the robots look like life-size Ikea statues, I still think this movie will be exciting.
Dodgeball:: Yeah!! Ben Stiller is rocking hard and even though Starsky and Hutch was a failure IMO, I think this one has got to be quality.
Troy:: I haven't saw it yet, I hope it's at Gladiator par, and Brad Pitt movies never disappoint.
Chronicles of Riddick:: What can I say... guilty pleasure?
The Terminal:: Looks like another cookie cutter romantic comedy, but Tom Hanks should bring some new zest and charisma even though he is a tad on the old side for this genre.
Ok, I think that's a good enough list for now. I'm sure there are more, I just haven't thought of them all. I think there was an interesting movie coming out on my BIRTHDAY... which is coming around on JULY 30th. =D Yeup, so I think that's a wrap for now.
